Powershot Session with Amanda | Chicago Boudoir Photography

You may think I don’t have a favorite type of session, but I do! Powershot Sessions are at the very top of my list.

As a Chicago photographer, these sessions feel the most personal to me. They allow women to celebrate themselves exactly as they are, without pressure to fit into a specific mold or expectation. Every session is different because every woman defines power and confidence in her own way.

If you’re searching for Chicago boudoir photography, this is my take on that experience. I call them Powershot Sessions because they are rooted in strength, confidence, and self-expression. For some women, that might look like a tailored suit and heels. For others, it might mean something more vulnerable. There is no right answer!

What Is a Powershot Session?

 A Powershot Session is my version of editorial photography with a boudoir-inspired edge. Powershots celebrate authentic beauty, creativity and passion.

A firework display of femininity designed around what makes you feel strong, confident, and fully yourself.

There is no template and no expectation to show up a certain way. Some women lean into structure and styling. Others prefer something more stripped back. Both are equally powerful.

My role as your photographer is to guide you while creating an environment where you can relax and lean into the experience. You don’t need to know how to pose or worry about what to do with your hands. I’ve got you!

Amanda’s Powershot Session

Amanda’s session was especially meaningful. She is a fellow wedding vendor, a business owner, and a mom of two. She booked this session to celebrate a season of her life that included a major health journey, growing her family, and continuing to run her wedding planning company while keeping everything moving.

This session was not about becoming someone new. It was about honoring who she has become.

From the moment we started, the energy in the room felt relaxed and positive. Amanda moved through the session with a bombastic confidence that made every photo feel natural. Some moments felt soft and reflective, while others leaned more bold and expressive. This  range is what makes these sessions so compelling! They leave room for all sides of you.
